George W. Bush…it’s your turn. For years, you have denied global warming. Sorry. There is no more excuses.
Tornadoes went crazy today (Thursday). Tornadoes hit Denver, Wyoming, and Riverside, Calif. I’m literally in shock. I can understand the tornado in Baton Rouge last week. It’s in the south where heat and cold pressures are just crazy. So that’s understandable, even though Baton Rouge is questionable.
But come on now. California? Are you serious? Denver? WHAT?! The Atlanta tornado shocked many, including me. We generally think ATL is virtually untouched by tornadoes. Guess we were proven wrong.
For the first time in my life, I saw a tornado in California or any western state for that matter. I don’t feel like doing the research to see if it has happened. Yet, the point remains the same. Since I’ve followed the weather at a young teen age, I don’t remember tornadoes striking the West coast. There were always earthquakes, but rarely tornadoes.
That changed in an instant, and global warming is the only logical answer. The Denver tornado was astonishing. I’ve never seen a tornado that big in a LONG time. I’ve seen Twister and watched several documentaries and “reality” series on tornadoes. Tornadoes RARELY reach that size (probably an F-4 from my estimate), and when they do, it gets ugly quickly. Wyoming was also struck by a tornado. It wasn’t a surprise, but three tornadoes in one day in different regions is a little alarming.
Another shocker is the SHARP decrease in the temperature in the West. A few days ago, the high was in triple digits, and now the high is in upper 70s. Global warming maybe?
I need for George W. Bush to step up to the plate. I didn’t vote for you, but you are the President of the U.S. Do something before it’s too late.
